2. Job Description

Lead day-to-day road-freight operations, transport planning, carrier performance and team execution in Bahrain.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.
• Set day-to-day operational objectives for the team.
• Coordinate transport-operation plans and processes.
• Coach and guide the team to meet schedules and targets.
• Execute transport, warehouse and distribution activities safely.
• Draft route plans and load schedules, maximize consolidation and communicate schedule changes.
• Follow critical-material transport and special deliveries; establish emergency plans and coordinate customs when required.
• Record resources and movements in the transport-planning system.
• Track subcontractor performance against standards.
• Manage the carrier network for the assigned traffic region and ensure compliance with service, pallet and claim standards.
• Track carrier delivery exceptions and report them to the principal/customer-service team.
• Resolve customer-service issues and prepare accurate, timely reports.
• Participate in transportation-service analysis and consolidation projects.
• Maintain compliance with operating, environmental and safety standards through training and communication.
• Report financial, operational and customer information to improve network performance and cost management.
• Identify issues and opportunities and implement more effective, efficient and cost-controlled transport methods.

• More than 2 years of experience.
